After becoming obsessed with the idea of Chalamet’s hair, I quickly started a (shameful) Pinterest mood board page with all of his various hair moments. At the top of the list? Feeling inspired by my look—and needing advice from an expert after growing my hair long with Chalamet—I reached out to Palau for his advice on how to style my mane like star. Turns out he’s all for one person embracing their natural mold. “When you’re confident in your hairstyle, that rules out confidence and playfulness,” says Palau. “I love [Chalamet’s hair] because it feels real to him.”
Below, Palau shares five tips for getting the perfect Chalamet haircut. Spoiler alert: I’ve tried his strategic methods and my curly mop has never looked better. To ensure your curls stay in place without frizz, says Palau, it’s important to wash and condition your hair properly in the shower (many stylists also recommend limiting shampoos to one wash). a week). Once installed lightly, then avoid touching and messing with your locks too much—it can ruin all the hard work you’ve just done.
